National Aviation Organization Commends West Virginia Governor for Declaring October “General Aviation Appreciation Month”

Washington, DC—The Alliance for Aviation Across America applauded West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin for declaring October 2015  “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” The proclamation highlights the important role of general aviation in West Virginia, where it supports over 23,300 jobs and contributes over $616 million to the state’s economy annually.

Alliance Statement on the Passage of a Six-Month Extension of FAA Funding

Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today issued the following statement in response to news that a funding bill had passed both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives which would keep the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) operating for the next six months.  Current funding for the FAA expires on September 30th.

“We applaud Congress for passing legislation to continuing funding of the FAA through the end of March. This funding will ensure that there is no disruption of critical services to communities and airports across the country.”

Organizations Release National Poll Results Showing Voter Opposition to ATC Privatization

Washington, DC— Today, the Alliance for Aviation Across America, the League of Rural Voters, and the Air Care Alliance held a conference call with Global Strategies Group and reporters to release the results of a recent survey on privatization of our air traffic control system.
