Mayors Petition to President Obama
The Alliance recently released a petition from over 125 Mayors from across the country to President Obama calling on the Administration to recognize the critical importance of general aviation to local towns and communities around the country.
The Administration has unfortunately called for the inclusion of a “user fee” tax on businesses, farms and groups that rely on general aviation as part of the Fiscal 2013 Budget of the U.S. Government. Â Not only would this saddle businesses and groups with taxes for every take-off and landing, but it would result in a huge administrative and tax burden, and require the
State-by-State Economic Impact
The Alliance for Aviation Across America, together with the League of Rural Voters, Air Care Alliance, National Agricultural Aviation Association, Small Business Entrepreneurship Council and National Association of State Aviation Officials, recently launched a wide-scale economic impact survey to outline the benefit of general aviation on businesses, local economies and communities around the nation.
